Digital painting

Would you like a one-off artistic portrait of your business premises to hang in the office? Maybe you'd like to create a visual impact in your waiting room for any prospective new clients? Perhaps you'd just like an attractive digital painting to admire instead of a plain wall?

Below are some examples of digitally painted images that Dumayne Design has produced. We can create a bespoke and original painting commission tailored to your design brief - versatile and adaptable enough to be used on virtually any surface without degradation.

Once you have your computer painting file produced, your image, or even favourite elements of it, can be used on your business stationery, promotional items or even as vehicle decals. Revisit the original image and change colours, or add new parts to the painting - the beauty of computer vector digital paintings is that you can go back, and back again, as your tastes, or your company evolves.

Please take a look, or if you have a great idea for an image of your own, just get in touch using the contact form.

Amsterdam street elevation

A computer drawn illustration of a typical Amsterdam street featuring a canal and boats in the foreground created by Dumayne Design

A minimalist style digital drawing of a row of Amsterdam houses drawn in blue line on a solid orange background colour

The Amsterdam image on the left is how the original 'painting' was rendered. The image on the right was revisited to give it a more modern look for a different product. These pictures give a clear example of how a digital vector painting can be manipulated to give a whole new look to an original piece of computer art. When purchasing a digital painting from Dumayne Design, your business will be able to request updates and revisions too, to suit your bespoke needs.

Sitting Cat

A digital painting creation of a stylised orange cat sitting on terracotta tiles with a dark green background colour

The ‘Sitting Cat’ is a digital vector rendering of an original oil painting Dumayne Design was commissioned to paint in the 1990’s. It was a popular oil painting at the time, and as with the ‘Olive oil and tomatoes’ digital painting here, the subject was revisited to reproduce on materials other than canvas.

Olive oil and tomatoes

A computer drawn painting by Stephen Dumayne of stylised olive oil bottles with loaf of bread and tomatoes on a wooden tabletop

‘Olive oil and tomatoes’ is a digital reproduction of an earlier oil painting once exhibited and sold through a gallery. Like the ‘Sitting Cat’, it is an image digitally rendered for sale to new customers. This picture is popular printed at a large scale on both canvas and dibond with office based businesses.

Swimming pool

A digitally rendered found object montage style drawing of a city street scene commissioned by a local business

The above image was created in partnership with another designer, Esther Vreeland. The illustration measures 2 metres in length and is a digital mural created for an office in a sports complex building. Photographs of the buildings were taken insitu, and a distorted perspective street view was created featuring the building itself as part of the street scene. Using a loose freehand style to work over the image, old photographs and textures were worked into the drawing to build up a composition. The final digital mural was manufactured using a di-bond process of printing which entails the image being printed onto thin aluminium and covered with a non reflective perspex to protect and enhance the image.
